Non-toxic Spring Cleaning
With Springtime in the air, lots of us are trying to get that spring cleaning done! So often, when we are planning spring cleaning, we are running out and buying commercial cleaning products, and sadly, most of these cleaners are full of artificial dyes, synthetic fragrances, toxic chemicals and dangerous ingredients.
You may ask why do I think these chemical filled cleaners are dangerous? My answer is simply because unfortunately many of these chemicals can cause skin irritation, respiratory infections, asthma and even lead to birth defects and cancer. And even worse, when you use these harsh cleaners, they often linger in your home for days after you use them, and this just increases the chances that they will affect your air purity and quality, but you will also be affecting the environment and many water systems. But you don't have to be that person! You don't have to clean with commercial cleaning agents, and you CAN clean with plant based cleaners, eco-friendly cleaners and natural and safe cleaners. You can even make soo many of your cleaners all on your own.
Room Spray
- 8 oz GLASS spray bottle
- 15 drops Wild Orange
- 15 drops Lemon
- 2oz grain alcohol (I use a cheap vodka)
Fill the rest of the bottle with water and always shake well before using. This can be used to just spray all around door knobs, light switches, kids toys, and literally just as a room spray to purify and cleanse the air.
OnGuard Cleaner Concentrate Spray
- 16 oz GLASS Spray bottle
- 1 tablespoon of OnGuard Cleaner
- Fill the rest of the bottle with water.
- Shake well before each use, and use to scrub down kitchens, bathrooms, and even carpet spots.

- 5-10 drops of Purify Essential Oil
- Top off diffuser with water and enjoy!
When we are making these positive changes in our lives in order to make our homes chemical and toxin free, and trying to clean with all natural products, we certainly want to be purifying and cleansing our air with this incredible essential oil blend!
