The festive, nostalgic aroma of dōTERRA Holiday Joy is in the air. Enjoying the fresh scent of Christmas straight out of the bottle is wonderful, but are you wondering how else to use this delicious doTERRA blend? Here are some practical ways to soak up this delightful seasonal blend, including a fun craft idea!
One way to enjoy the Holiday Joy aroma is to make your own Holiday Joy room spray! First, fill a small glass spray bottle with 10 drops of Holiday Joy. Fill the remainder with water, then spritz it up! You can spray this mixture right onto your Christmas tree, garland, wreath, over a bowl of decorative pine cones, or throughout your home. Another option for enjoying this seasonal blend oil, is to add 1-2 drops of Holiday Joy directly onto each pine cone or into your homemade potpourri. Just don’t be surprised if your visitors close their eyes, inhale deeply, and begin sharing their sweetest holiday memories with you upon entering your home! Don't forget the amazing aroma that Holiday Joy brings when diffusing it. WOW!!
Spritzing those notes of fresh fir, delicious nutmeg, and sweet vanilla throughout your living space was easy, and it sure made your home smell festive. But now you can try making some doTERRA Holiday Joy scented ornaments. Here’s what you’ll need:
1 cup baking soda
½ cup cornstarch
½ cup water
10-15 drops doTERRA Holiday Joy
In a saucepan, heat together all the ingredients, except the essential oil, over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Once mixture has thickened into a dough-like consistency, remove from heat and mix in your Holiday Joy oil. Add glitter or food coloring, if desired. Roll your cooled dough onto a cookie sheet and cut with cookie cutters. Use a large toothpick or skewer to make a hole in the top of each shape. String twine or ribbon through the hole to hang the ornament. (Recipe from The Essential Life)
As Holiday Joy fills your home this season, breathe deeply and savor each precious moment with family and friends. These just might be your newest favorite holiday memories in the making.
